The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at:

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Tacloban Supports Frontliners’ Battle Against COVID-19

PRC Tacloban, together with the Accredited Professional Organizations (APOs) in Region 8, organized an online donation campaign last April 02, 2020 to raise a fund for health care professionals in Eastern Visayas Regional Medical Center (EVRMC), the only hospital in Eastern Visayas allowed to treat COVID-19 patients.

On April 22, 2020 Dr. Buddy Evardone, EVRMC Medical Director, received the cash donations which will be used to purchase additional Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) sets. Dr. Evardone explained that there is indeed a dire need for such medical equipment.

Moreover, aside from the cash donations generated in the campaign, the Federation of Active Professional Organizations(FAPORE) in Region 8 also donated surgical masks, while the PhilippinesPharmacist Association, Inc. (PPhA) Region 8 donated one hundred (100) pieces of face shield.
