The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Central pilot tests In-House Printing of Professional IDs

The Professional Regulation Commission today announced the pilot-testing of its In-house Printing of Professional Identification Cards (PRC IDs). The In-house ID printing seeks to hasten the processing and release of PRC IDs to better serve Filipino professionals renewing their IDs.

Beginning July 18, 2012, applicants renewing their PRC IDs are advised to observe the following procedure:

STEP 2. While waiting, write down the information requested on the one-fourth page form. Proceed to the appropriate Registration Window as your name is called to submit the accomplished form and to secure a printed Application Form with scanned photo.
STEP 3. Pay the assessed renewal fees indicated in your printed application form to the cashier.
STEP 4. Claim PRC ID seven (7) working days after date of payment.
