PSIM Concludes 2nd PSIM International Mechanical Engineers Conference

KINGDOM OF SAUDI ARABIA - The PSIM – Pambansang Samahan ng Inhenyero Mekanikal - International Chapters holds its 2nd PSIM International Mechanical Engineers Conference (PIMEC) with a theme “PSIM: Leadership with Integrity & Stability thru Motivation and Mentoring for The Progression of Glocal Mechanical Engineers” held on June 8-9, 2025, bringing together industry leaders and professionals to explore cutting-edge advancements in mechanical engineering.

This remarkable event attended by more than two hundred and fifty (250) OFW mechanical engineers from Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Host), United Arab Emirates, State of Qatar, Singapore, and the Republic of the Philippines working in the field of design, consulting, construction, manufacturing, operations, and maintenance served as a platform for knowledge sharing, networking, and collaboration among engineers worldwide.

The two-day event featured keynote sessions, panel discussions, exhibitions, and networking opportunities, highlighting innovations and global perspectives in public safety and international mobility.

The activity was honored by the presence and support of the Hon. Dominador A. Salanga, Labor Attache II, Migrant Workers Office (MWO) – Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Hon. Ramon F. Solis, Member, PRB of Mechanical Engineer (PRB-MEE), Engr. Mario A. Balboa, Chairman Emiretus, PCEA KSA, Engr. Jaime Jajay E. Cruz, Member of the PRB of Master Plumber (PRB-OMP), provided a keynote speech on Day 1. Engr. Jerico T. Borja, Former Member of the PRB-MEE, discussed the Career Progression and Specialization Program (CPSP) – Specialty Practice; and along with the International Affairs Office (IAO) Director Atty. Melisa Jane Comafay Yeachana, who virtually provided an overview and updates of ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE) on Day 2.

To strengthen the global standing of Filipino professionals, the PRC — through IAO — is actively participating in regional and international frameworks, including the ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangements (MRAs).

Moving forward, the PRC is inviting all qualified Filipino Registered Engineers in KSA to apply and join the ASEAN and APEC Registers. This will uplift not only the individual careers of engineers and architects but also the reputation of Filipino Professionals on the international stage.

The PRC remains committed to fostering professional growth and ensuring that Filipino professionals abroad receive the necessary support to remain competitive in the global workforce.
