The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at:

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Resets the Board Lic. Exam for Professional Teachers in Zamboanga City, Tawi-Tawi and Jolo, Sulu from Sept. 29, 2013 to Jan. 26, 2014

The Professional Regulation Commission today announced the resetting of the Board Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (BLEPT) in Zamboanga City, Tawi-Tawi and Jolo, Sulu from September 29, 2013 to January 26, 2014.

The PRC and Professional Regulatory Board for Professional Teachers have decided to postpone the September 29, 2013 BLEPT in Zamboanga City, Tawi-Tawi and Jolo, Sulu, after due consultations with Zamboanga City Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, Tawi-Tawi Provincial Governor Nurbert Sahali and Sulu Provincial Governor Abdusakur A. Tan II.

The PRC had earlier stated that the postponement of the BLEPT was made on account of the limited access to air and sea transportations brought about by the ongoing armed hostilities in the abovementioned areas as well as considerations on the safety and security of the examinees and examinations personnel.

September 23, 2013.
