The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Iloilo completes transfer of exam venue to Bacolod

THE TRANSFER of examination venue from Iloilo City to Bacolod City requested by examinees who applied for the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination or PNLE on May 25 and 26, 2014 has been completed. A total of 306 examinees are sitting for the PNLE.

The transfer had to be made for the reason that the Online Application System or OAS initially did not include Bacolod City as among the venue of choice so graduates of schools, colleges and universities in Negros Occidental, many of whom are based in Bacolod City, were not aware that the 2014 Schedule of Licensure Examinations (Calendar Year 2014) included it as a venue. The PNLE is the first licensure examination this year to be conducted in Bacolod City. Two (2) other licensure examinations will be conducted there this year -- for Professional Teachers on July 27 and another for nurses on November 29 and 30.

All PNLE applicants who requested for transfer to Bacolod City are advised to check their schedule of room assignment beginning May 22, 2014. Venue identification is still a work-in-progress.
