The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRB of Interior Design Attended APSDA General Assembly

The Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) of Interior Design Member, Hon. Maria Carlota D. Hilvano, attended the Asia Pacific Space Designers Association (APSDA) General Assembly (GA) last October 18, 2019 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia through the invite of the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID). The presentation of the PRB of Interior Design included the Mutual Recognition of Professional Qualifications (MRPQ) and Memorandum of Partnership (MOP) in APSDA’s main thrust.

During the said event, Hon. Hilvano presented the MRPQ and the benefits in having bilateral agreements through MOP. Her presentation was made possible through the assistance of International Development Division (IDD) of the International Affairs Office of Professional Regulation Commission.

Her talk received positive response as the delegates from India and Japan expressed intent for further discussions, while Indonesian delegates showed strong desire to collaborate.

APSDA Adviser Mohamad Faizal Ghazali proposed to include MRPQ and MOP in the Association’s thrust.

Business matters regarding APSDA’s concerns and the election of APSDA board for the year 2019-2021 were also taken during the GA, wherein, PIID was elected as one of the members of the board for APSDA.

The GA was participated by representatives from Malaysia, Taiwan, Indonesia, India, Singapore, Japan, Thailand, and Macao.
