The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

Licensure exam for Optometrists re-set to December 2-4, 2013 (Written) and December 5-6, 2013 (Practical)

Manila, September 27, 2013 – The Professional Regulation Commission announces the rescheduling of the Optometrists licensure exam from August 9-11, 2013 (Written), August 16-19, 2013 (Practical) to DECEMBER 2-4, 2013 (Written), DECEMBER 5-6, 2013 (Practical).

The licensure exam originally scheduled on August 2013 was indefinitely postponed due to vacancies in the Professional Regulatory Board of Optometry.

The required quorum has been met with the recent appointment of the new members of the Board. In a meeting after being sworn into office last September 5, 2013, the Board passed Resolution No. 2 dated September 24, 2013 re-setting the dates of the Optometrists written and practical examination.
