MANILA, PHILIPPINES — The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC / Commission) through the Professional Regulatory Board of Real Estate Service (PRB-RAE), successfully signed its joint commitment with participating economies during the Real Estate International Summit and Expo (RISE) 2025, held on 2 May 2025, at the Manila Hotel.

Aligned with the conference’ theme of “Navigating Horizons: Future Trends in International Real Estate,” the PRB-RAE and the participating economies from Brunei Darussalam, represented by Mr. Mohammed Don Omar, President of the ASEAN Valuers Association – Brunei Chapter; Malaysia, through Mr. Dato’ Mani Usilappan; India, represented by Mr. Farook Mahmood, Founding Chairperson of the International Real Estate Federation (FIABCI1) – India Chapter; Taiwan, through Dr. Shih-Ming You; and Thailand, represented by Dr. Sopon Pornchockchai, President of the Thai Appraisal and Estate Agents Foundation, sealed the Joint Commitment, affirming their shared dedication to strengthening international cooperation and promoting excellence in the practice of real estate services across borders.

The collaborative pursuits of this commitment include: (1) initiating and sustaining dialogue toward the recognition of professional qualifications, (2) strengthening professional linkages and networks, (3) fostering knowledge sharing and joint capacity-building initiatives, (4) promoting collaborative research and ethical frameworks, (5) supporting continuous professional growth and development, and (6) encouraging participation in international conferences and forums.

Through this endeavor, the signing parties are confident that this commitment will not only uplift their respective real estate professional services but will also contribute to sustainability, enhance cross-border professional mobility, and strengthen people-to-people ties among nations’ estate industries.

Led and organized by the Philippine Association of Realty Consultants and Specialists (PARCS), the RISE 2025 was inspired by the success of the previous Conference for ASEAN Real Estate Service Practitioners held last September 25 to 29, 2023, hosted by this Commission through the PRC International Affairs Office (IAO) in collaboration with the PRB-RAE. Moreover, the activity was honored by the presence and support of the PRB-RES Chairperson, Hon. Ofelia C. Binag, and members Hon. Jose Arnold M. Tan and Hon. Rafael M. Fajardo, along with the IAO, led by Dir. Atty. Melisa Jane Comafay Yeachana.
