The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC – RO1’s OPLAN CUPIDO and MOP: A Success Story

CANDON CITY, ILOCOS SUR – As part of the Professional Regulation Commission’s (PRC) 50th Founding Anniversary celebration, the PRC – Regional Office 1 (PRC – RO1), as headed by RO Director Atty. Arl Ruth B. Sacay-Sabelo, productively led two (2) activities, namely: OPLAN CUPIDO (Continuing Professional Development Updates for Professionals Information Dissemination Orientation – Tutorial) and Mobile Outreach Program (MOP) at Candon Civic Center last June 12, 2023.

With two hundred and thirty-four (234) professionals attending the OPLAN CUPIDO, selected employees of PRC- RO1 discussed the latest updates and significant issuances from PRC, Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs), and the Continuing Professional Development Council (CPDC) to various professionals.  Further, the CPD Accreditation System (CPDAS) was presented. On the other hand, the Mobile Outreach Program (MOP) offered the following services to professionals: PRC ID Renewal, Issuance of Certificates, Authentications of PRC Documents, Initial Registration for newly-passed Professionals, Correction of Data, Applications for Licensure Examination, and Processing of State Board Verifications. With all these services; a total of nine hundred and ninety-six (996) transactions were accomplished. The MOP was facilitated by PRC-RO1 selected employees. These undertakings are a continuous pursuit of the PRC’s thrust in bringing its services closer to the community, saving time, resources, transportation, and other incidental costs of the clients.

PRC RO1 is sincerely expressing its gratitude to all participants, clients, and professionals for their unwavering and unadulterated participation and  
enthusiasm during the two (2) events. As such, the Commission and RO1 are looking forward to future engagements, activities, and events.
