The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

Signing of Covenant of Support and Commitment to the PRC Social Responsibility Program

27 May 2019, Manila – The Professional Regulation Commission together with the forty-three (43) Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs) and its respective Accredited Professional Organizations (APOs) / Accredited Integrated Professional Organziations (AIPOs) held the signing of Covenant of Support and Commitment to the PRC Social Responsibility program on 27 May 2019 at Room 301 PRC-PICC, PICC Complex, Pasay City. The said activity was participated by representatives from the Philippine Association of Professional Regulatory Boards, Philippine Federation of Professional Associations and Foundation of Outstanding Professionals.

The covenant manifests the full commitment and dedication of the PRBs and their respective APOs/AIPOs to support the PRC Social Responsibility program that will steer the Commission’s advocacy to deliver projects and missions through the provision of various professional services and other assistance to impoverished communities and victims of natural/man-made calamities.

The success and developments of this program is the product of the Commission’s hard work, strong determination, and commitment to service. Through the continued support of the PRBs, APOs/AIPOs and other institutions, the Commission can accomplish much more by working in a concerted and collaborative fashion, bound by a common purpose, sustained by the principles of professionalism, accountability, and excellence.
