The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PUBLIC ADVISORY

The Commission wishes to express its utmost appreciation for the continued understanding and cooperation of its transacting public.

We wish to assure the public that the online service system of PRC is up and operational. The experienced difficulty of access is due to the sheer number of users. In the last three (3) to four (4) weeks, the number of users spiked around 10,000 daily from the normal number of less than 5,000 in a day. We gather, this is in part, brought about by announcements made and deadlines set by other offices for submission of documents pertinent to appointments and promotions, which necessarily include issuances from PRC. The increased number of transactions under the big boards, including that of the Professional Regulatory Board for Teachers and Criminologists is also contributory to the large turn-out of service requests in this period. This is on top of the transacting public who were not able to avail of their original schedules due to declared special non-working holidays during the Christmas Break.

In this regard, our transacting public is informed that the Commission is undertaking all possible adjustments including the setting-up of Kiosks for walk-in applicants to accommodate, as many as possible, service requests without compromising the integrity of the entire system and the quality of service we give you.

Thank you.
