The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

Professional Regulatory Board of Interior Design in action, early start for 2023

The Professional Regulatory Board of Interior Design (PRBoID) of the Professional Regulation Commission, composed of its Chairperson, Hon. Sonia S. Olivares, and members, Hon. Maria Carlota Hilvano and Hon. Vincent Louie Tan, hit the ground running at the start of the new year with a board meeting to smooth out the details of the plan of activities.

January 2023 started the year-long inspection and monitoring of higher education institutions (HEIs) with a visit to the University of the Philippines and the University of Santo Tomas. Both HEIs were evaluated whether they are compliant with the technical and legal requirements for offering BS Interior Design.

The PRBoID also took time to look back and evaluate the conference last 1-4 December 2022 entitled, “Pinto: A Conference on ASEAN Mutual Reciprocity Agreements”, organized with the assistance of the PRC-International Affairs Office and the International Commitment Fund, courtesy of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

On January 26, 2023, the PRBoID inspected the interior design program at Eulogio "Amang" Rodriguez Institute of Technology and took part in the Technology Cluster's meeting in aid of finalizing the Career Progression and Specialization Program-Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CPSP-CATS) for each of the professional regulatory boards.

The month ended with another round of inspections on 2 HEIs — La Consolacion College in Bacolod City and the University of San Agustin in Iloilo City. More activities to go for the PRBoID as the calendar for 2023 1st quarter starts to roll!
