The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at: https://www.w3.org/TR/UNDERSTANDING-WCAG20/

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Regional Office XI Celebrates Davao City’s Local Culture and Heritage

Davao City, Davao del Sur – During its regular Flag Raising and Convocation Ceremony last 6 February 2023, PRC personnel donned their Indigenous People and Moro-inspired attire and accessories. Led by its Regional Director Raquel R. Abrantes, the initiative is not only a celebration of the City’s local culture and custom but a recognition of the contribution of the local Indigenous Cultural Communities to their distinct and unique identity as Dabawenyo.

This endeavor was made possible through the Davao City Council’s Resolution No. 0474-22 s. 2022 adopted during its 17th Regular Session last 8 November 2022. The said resolution seeks to encourage government personnel of the National Government situated in Davao City to wear the said attire and/or accessories every first Monday of the month. Thus, ensuring that the City of Davao pays homage and appreciation to the eleven (11) tribes that comprise the city’s foundation of culture and tradition.

PRC Davao likewise encourages its client to showcase their unique cultural attire in support of the City’s mantra to stand in solidarity with the IP and Moro brothers and sisters and take pride in their local cultural identity”.
