The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Region X (Cagayan de Oro) Conducts Mobile Service at DepEd-Misamis Occidental

On January 21, 2023, the Professional Regulation Commission Region X (PRC-Cagayan de Oro) successfully conducted a mobile outreach in collaboration with the Department of Education-Division of Misamis Occidental spearheaded by the Schools Division Superintendent, Mr. Edwin R. Maribojoc, Ed.D., CESO V.

A total of seven hundred forty-six (746) clients were accommodated on that day wherein five hundred seventy-three (573) of which were DepEd-Misamis Occidental Division teaching and non-teaching personnel while one hundred seventy-three (173) were non-DepEd personnel.

With that, one thousand one hundred twenty-five (1,125) transactions were processed which includes the processing of application for licensure examination, initial registration for new passers, renewal of Professional Identification Card (PIC), PIC duplicate, change of status due to marriage, petition for correction of entries/data, requests for certification/authentication, and releasing of PICs.

Further, a total of three hundred (300) sets of school and hygiene supplies (plastic envelopes, pencils, erasers, notebooks, crayons, drawing books, face towels, toothbrushes, soaps, alcohol, and face masks) were turned over to the Division for distribution to students in need as a way of helping those affected by the flood in Misamis Occidental.

This was made possible through the support of the following Accredited Professional Organizations: Professional Criminologists Association of the Philippines (PCAP), Philippine Institute of Civil Engineers (PICE), Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers (PSME), and Integrated Institute of Electrical Engineers (IIEE).
