The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

128,083 examinees gear up for the September 29, 2013 Licensure exam for teachers

Manila, September 25, 2013 – The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) today stated that 128,083 examinees will be taking the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) on Sunday, September 29, 2013 in 17 testing centers nationwide.

The PRC said that bulk of LET takers comes from the National Capital Region with an estimated 29,151 examinees followed by Davao with 12,815 examinees.

Board Licensure Examination for Teachers in Zamboanga City, Jolo Sulu and Tawi-Tawi was recently reset to January 26, 2014 due to the limited access to air and sea transportations brought about by the ongoing armed hostilities in Zamboanga City as well as considerations on the safety and security of the examinees and examination personnel.

The PRC advises the examinees to be at the designated examination site/center before 7:00AM and to bring their notices of admission, two or more pencils (No.2), ballpens with BLACK INK, one piece metered-stamp window envelope, one piece long brown envelope, and one piece long transparent (non-colored) plastic envelope on examination day.

The testing centers include Baguio, Batanes, Cagayan De Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Laoag City, Legazpi, Lucena, Masbate, National Capital Region, Pagadian, Palawan, Romblon, Rosales Pangasinan, Tacloban and Tuguegarao.
