The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at:

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

Successful Conduct of the PRC Sportsfest Opening Ceremony

Manila, Philippines – As part of the celebration of its 49th Founding Anniversary, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) successfully conducted the Opening Ceremony of the much-awaited PRC Sportsfest last September 16, 2022, with the theme, “Moving Forward to a Resilient and Excellent Public Service through Fitness and Sports”.

The ceremony started with the insightful message of the PRC Acting Chairperson, Hon. Jose Y. Cueto, Jr., followed by the parade of muses for the four (4) participating teams, namely the White Stallion, Blue Dragon, Golden Falcone, and Red Phoenix wherein the Golden Falcone team’s Muse stood out from all the rest.

This was succeeded by the Lighting of the Torch which transmits a message of peace and friendship along its route. Meanwhile, players recited the Oath of Sportsmanship, headed by Director Teofilo M. Sison, Jr., as a promise and commitment to respect the rules and play fairly.

In addition, Director Lord Louis P. Valera made a ceremonial toss to signal the start of the games which include basketball, volleyball, badminton, bowling, table tennis, billiard, darts, scrabble, chess, and dama. Lastly, the ceremony ended with an encouraging and motivating closing remarks from Director Reynaldo D. Agcaoili.

With this, the flame of camaraderie, fairness, discipline, and respect built through sportsmanship will further be ignited and strengthen the teamwork within the Commission.
