The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

September 2009 Interior Design Licensure Examination results released in eight (8) working days…

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announces that 119 out of 237 passed the Interior Designer Licensure Examination given by the Board of Interior Design in Manila last September 2009. The results of examination with respect to three (3) examinees were withheld pending final determination of their liabilities under the rules and regulations governing licensure examinations.

The members of the Board of Interior Design are Jose Ma. G. Hubilla, Chairman; Sonia S. Olivares and Antonio S. Adriano, Members.

The results were released in eight (8) working days after the last day of examination.

Registration for the issuance of Professional Identification Card (ID) and Certificate of Registration will start on Thursday, October 22, 2009 but not later than Friday, November 13, 2009. Those who will register are required to bring the following: duly accomplished Oath Form or Panunumpa ng Propesyonal, current Community Tax Certificate (cedula), 2 pieces passport size picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 1 piece 1” x 1” picture (colored with white background and complete nametag), 2 sets of metered documentary stamps, and 1 short brown envelope with name and profession; and to pay the Initial Registration Fee of P600 and Annual Registration Fee of P450 for 2009-2012. Successful examinees should personally register and sign in the Roster of Registered Professionals.

The oathtaking ceremony of the successful examinees in the said examination as well as the previous ones who have not taken their Oath of Professional will be held before the Board on Sunday, November 22, 2009 at 12:00 noon at the Luzon Ballroom, Sofitel Philippine Plaza, CCP Complex, Roxas Blvd., Pasay City.

Registration for membership with the Philippine Institute of Interior Designers (PIID) will start on Thursday, October 22, 2009.
