The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

Prescribing New Documentary Requirements for the Dentists, Dental Technologists, and Dental Hygienists Licensure Examinations

Pursuant to Resolution No. 06 (S.2023), the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) informs the public the new documentary requirements starting the May 2023 schedule of the Dentist Licensure Examination (DLE), Dental Hygienist Licensure Examination (DHLE), and Dental Technologists Licensure Examination (DTLE):

DENTIST

First-Timer:

Degree/Course Requirement: Doctor of Dental Medicine

Documentary Requirements:

  1. Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Birth Certificate
  2. PSA Marriage Contract/Certificate (for married female applicants)
  3. Transcript of Records (TOR) with scanned picture and remarks“for Board Examination Purposes”
  4. National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Clearance (valid for at least six (6) months as of the date of filing of the application)

Repeaters:

  1. NBI Clearance (valid for at least six (6) months as of the date of filing of the application)
  2. Certificate of Completion of Refresher course for a minimum of six (6) months, covering all the subjects in the Theoretical and Practical Phases in a Commission on Higher Education (CHED)-recognized schools/colleges/universities offering the course of dentistry and accredited dental

 

DENTAL HYGIENIST

First-Timer:

Degree/Course Requirement: Graduate of two years’ certificate by a

CHED-recognized dental school

Documentary Requirements:

  1. PSA Birth Certificate
  2. PSA Marriage Contract/Certificate (for married female applicants)
  3. TOR with scanned picture and remarks “for Board Examination Purposes"
  4. Two (2) years Certificate from a CHED-recognized dental school offering NC IV/PQF Level IV Certificate program currently registered with TESDA
  5. Valid NBI Clearance (First Timers) (valid for at least six (6) months as of the date of filing of the application)
  6. One (1) Good Moral Certificate from any of the following:
  1. Barangay
  2. Church
  3. School
  4. Employer

Repeaters:

  1. NBI Clearance (valid for at least six (6) months as of the date of filing of the application)
  2. Certificate of Completion of Refresher course for a minimum of two (2) months, covering all the subjects in a CHED/TESDA-recognized and accredited dental schools/colleges/universities of dental hygiene and/or dental technology

 

 

DENTAL TECHNOLOGIST

First-Timer:

 

Degree/Course Requirement: Graduate of two years’ certificate by a CHED-recognized dental school 'f Documentary Requirements:

  1. PSA Birth Certificate
  2. PSA Marriage Contract/Certificate (for married female applicants)
  3. TOR with scanned picture and remarks “for Board Examination Purposes”
  4. OJT Certificate - Employment Certificate (FOR AT LEAST SIX (6) months) from a Department of Health (DOH)-registered and DOH-licensed dental laboratory
  5. Two (2) years Certificate from a CHED recognized dental school offering NC IV/PQF Level IV Certificate program currently registered with TESDA
  6. Valid NBI Clearance (First Timers) (valid for at least six (6) months as of the date of filing of the application)
  7. One (1) Good Moral Certificate from any of the following:
  1. Barangay
  2. Church
  3. School
  4. Employer

 

Repeaters:

 

  1. NBI Clearance (valid for at least six (6) months as of the date of filing of the application)
  2. Certificate of Completion of Refresher course for a minimum of two (2) months, covering all the subjects in a CHED/TESDA-recognized and accredited dental schools/colleges/universities of dental hygiene and/or dental technology

 

In addition, the following rules shall be applied in the administration of the DLE, DHLE, and DTLE:

 

  1. Dentists Licensure Examination

 

  1. Examinees who failed in three (3) licensure examinations within a period of five (5) years or those who have not taken the licensure examination for the past five (5) years shall be required to enroll in a refresher course for a minimum of six (6) months, covering all the subjects in the Theoretical and Practical Phases in a CHED-recognized and accredited dental schools/colleges/universities offering the course of dentistry (Board Resolution No. 53, s. 2010).

 

B. Dental Hygienists and Dental Technologists Licensure Examinations

 

  1. Examinees who failed in three (3) licensure examinations within a period of five (5) years or those who have not taken the Licensure Examination for the past five (5) years shall be required to enroll in a refresher course for a minimum of two (2) months, covering all the subjects in a CHED/TESDA-recognized and accredited dental schools/colleges/universities of dental hygiene and/or dental technology (Board Resolution No. 53, s. 2010).

 

2. All repeater examinees for DLE DHLE and DTLE shall furnish the schools/universities from where they graduated copies of their Notice of Admission for information purposes only.
