The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. A guide to understanding and implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.0 is available at:

All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC Warns Against Fake Facebook Accounts

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) warns the public against a fake Facebook account ( using the name and identity of Hon. Lani T. Palmones, Ph.D., of the Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) of Criminology. Honorable Palmones expressly refutes all information that is published, released, or circulated through this malicious FB account.

The public is further enjoined not to subscribe to bogus FB accounts fraudulently representing or using the name and identity of the PRC officials, personnel, and/or members of the PRBs.

The PRC will continuously take measures to protect the public from false and misleading information relating to its services.  Hence, PRC is requesting the public to report individuals, entities, or groups representing, soliciting, asking, or requesting money or contribution for any dubious PRC transactions and other similar activities through the PRC official emails posted at the PRC’s official website.
