The Philippine Association of Professional Regulatory Boards Incorporated (PAPRB), in partnership with the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), gathered Filipino professionals from all over the world in the 11th Philippine Professional Summit (PPS11) with the theme, “Glocal Filipino Professionals: Rebuilding the Nation with G.R.I.T. (Growth, Resiliency, Innovation, Tenacity)” last October 17 and 18, 2022 at the Fiesta Pavilion, Manila Hotel and via an online platform.
As a sign of appreciation and to show their support, PRC Chairperson, Hon. Charito A. Zamora and PRC Commissioners, Hon. Jose Y. Cueto Jr. and Hon. Erwin M. Enad attended the said event and gave insightful and motivating messages to the attendees.
“The relentless dedication and exceptional commitment of the Filipino professionals are our inspiration to continuously be an instrument for a reliable, trustworthy and progressive national system of determining the competence of professionals.” Chairperson Zamora said as she recognized the continuous dedication and commitment of the glocal Filipino professionals.
Present also were keynote speakers, Senator Mark A. Villar from the Senate of the Philippines and Director General Danilo P. Cruz from the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority as well as notable speakers from diverse fields of specialization who shared valuable information and reflection on the different topics that were discussed.
The two-day summit aimed to review the impact of the pandemic on Trilemma, 4IR (Fourth Industrial Revolution), and the internationalization of the practice of the forty-six (46) regulated professions, to explore the technological innovations influencing professional standards and development, and to analyze and evaluate the Filipino values in cultural diversity.
“Whether you are practicing in the Philippines or outside the country, may you remain committed and continually engage and immerse yourself in an environment which promotes growth and advancement in your respective professions”, Chairperson Zamora added.
Moreover, the event was also virtually attended by Vice President Sara Z. Duterte who delivered an encouraging message.
Indeed, this year’s PPS11 is a driving force for all Filipino professionals to fully develop their G.R.I.T as they aim to rebuild the nation better and sustain local and global development.
