The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC-RO XIII Conducts Virtual Orientation On The PRB Of Accountancy’s Accreditation Process

Live on an On-Line Platform and streamed via the PRC Regional Office XIII (PRC - RO13), Caraga Official Facebook Page, the orientation on the process of securing accreditation from the Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) of Accountancy was actively joined by hundred and three (103) Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) last March 9, 2023.

PRC - RO13 Director Cheryll P. Elicano welcomed participants to the virtual orientation. She also mentioned that this initiative is the organization’s proactive way of supporting professionals in their pursuit of continuously improving their competence in accordance with international standards.

Hon. Noe G. Quiñanola, Chairperson of the Board of Accountancy, served as the Resource Speaker with the discussion of the latest Issuances of the Board. On one hand, the Steps in the Application for BOA Accreditation (Public Practice and Accounting Academicians) and information and updates about CPD were presented and discussed by selected PRC employees. A comprehensive walkthrough on how to navigate the CPD Accreditation System, create an account, and upload requirements for accreditations was also part of the orientation.

PRC RO13 intends to conduct more similar undertakings with other Board Professions benefitting more professionals in the coming years.
