The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted an orientation on PRC Resolution No. 2060 (s. 2025), or the “Guidelines on the Credit Accumulation and Transfer System (CATS) for Professionals towards Career Progression and Specialization Programs (CPSP) and Micro-credentials,” on 30 June 2026 via Microsoft Teams.

The activity gathered Professional Regulatory Boards (PRBs), CPSP-CATS Committees, technical experts, and other stakeholders to discuss the CATS framework, which provides for the recognition and transfer of learning acquired through continuing professional development, workplace learning, research, training, certifications, and other validated learning experiences.

In her message, PRC Chairperson Atty. Charito A. Zamora underscored the Commission’s commitment to advancing lifelong learning and professional excellence and to developing a future-ready Filipino professional workforce.

Through the CATS framework, the PRC promotes a flexible, outcomes-based, and learner-centered approach to professional development, supporting career progression and specialization in alignment with the Philippine Qualifications Framework (PQF), international standards, and evolving workforce needs.
