The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

PRC IV-B Team Conducts Mobile Service in Romblon

Romblon, Philippines - To address the concerns of the stakeholders in the Province of Romblon, especially in the processing of applications for the Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT), the Professional Regulation Commission Regional Office IV-B (PRC IV-B) conducted a mobile service in Romblon, Romblon, last January 16 – 18, 2023, in collaboration with the Provincial Government of Romblon – Public Employment Service Office (PESO).       

The activity started with an opening message from Mr. Ronald Geronimo, Provincial Government Department Head – PESO, and he said “..we are grateful to the Professional Regulation Commission Region IV-B (PRC IV-B), headed by Director Reynaldo D. Agcaoili, that they granted our request to conduct a mobile service in our province so that all our professionals will be able to secure all the needed documents from PRC and for the aspiring professionals to file their applications for the upcoming LEPT.”

The PRC IV-B team was able to process a total of 2,991 transactions to all clientele by providing the following services: 1) application for examination; 2) renewal of Professional Identification Cards (PICs); 3) initial registration of professionals; 4) certification and authentication of PRC documents; 5) duplication of PICs; and 6) change of names/status/date of birth. 

The activity is part of the initiative of the office to address the unique geographical setup of the different provinces in the region and to intensify the mantra of the office to bring PRC services closer to the people of MIMAROPA.
