MANILA, PHILIPPINES – Through Proclamation No. 218, series of 2002, as signed by then Gloria Macapagal – Arroyo, in recognition of the salient and vital role of the accountancy profession towards transparency, accountability, and excellence in the financial management, the Accountancy Week has been declared.  Consequently, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC / Commission) joins the entire nation in the observance of Accountancy Week during the third week of July.

This annual celebration highlights the significant contributions of the Filipino Certified Public Accountants (CPAs) in fostering and cultivating sound governance, economic development, and public trust through the highest standards of competence, integrity, and ethical practice.

In unison with the Accountancy profession and professionals, the Commission moves further in upholding the professional excellence and strengthening the regulation of the profession in support of nation-building and the delivery of public service.
