Outnumbered initiatives have been redundant as the devastating reports from catastrophes and the COVID-19 pandemic threat continues. Despite every hurdle experienced, undying hopes still overpower the challenges within, as the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) - Regional Office 13 (Butuan) initiated movements for nature restorations and mankind support.
With the approval of the Office of the City Environment and Natural Resources, City of Butuan and the leadership of PRC-Butuan OIC-Director Rotelo B. Cabugsa, a ‘greener’ PRC Week 2020 was witnessed by Butuanons as the PRC-Butuan organized a tree planting activity at Sitio San Roque, Punta, Nasipit, Agusan del Nort, in celebration of its first founding anniversary last March 7, 2020. Equipped with planting tools, a total of twenty-six (26) PRC employees gathered for the said initiative and gained knowledge on the relevance and benefits of the advocacy.
As part of their 1st anniversary celebration, PRC-Butuan also initiated the “Adopt-A-School” program last March 9, 2020 and a total of one hundred thirty-two (132) Grade 1 to Grade 6 pupils from Imelda Elementary School at Imelda, Antongalon, Butuan City, overwhelmingly received a set of school supplies donated by examinees from the September 2019 Licensure Examination for Teachers.
Meanwhile, aiming to extend financial assistance and moral support to the medical and uniformed personnel frontliners, volunteers, needy communities, and affected PRC employees, twenty-four (24) personnel of PRC-Butuan voluntarily donated cash, groceries, and food packs approximately amounting to sixty-five thousand pesos (P65,000.00) last April 2020.
Paving the way towards 2021, PRC-Butuan assures its clients and the people of Butuan in general that their commitment of providing steadfast service will remain spontaneous.
