Posted on 8 November, 2025

HONG KONG – In a significant step to ensure the success of the upcoming "Alagang OWWA" Serbisyo Caravan, an orientation and strategic meeting for all participating government agencies was successfully convened on October 7, 2025.

The session, spearheaded by Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) Administrator Patricia Yvonne “PY” Caunan, served as the strategic launchpad for this servicewide-scale event. Outlined was the program flow and booth assignments were finalized, ensuring a coordinated and efficient delivery of services for Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

A highlight of the orientation was the formal introduction and announcement of the new OWWA Ambassador, a figure who will play a pivotal role in championing the welfare and interests of the Filipino community in Hong Kong.

This preparatory activity underscores the Philippine government's unified and proactive commitment to bringing comprehensive support directly to OFWs. In support, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) wil also provide its Foreign Mobile Services (FMS) on November 8–10, 2025, at the Department of Migrant Workers (DMW)–OWWA OFW Global Centre in the United Centre, Admiralty, Hong Kong, providing a centralized hub for essential services. Leading the PRC delegation is Mr. Ronald G. Watson, Delegation Head and Officer-in-Charge of the PRC National Capital Region (NCR), who will be joined by a team of selected PRC employees.

These initiatives represent a powerful, collaborative effort to bring the Philippine government closer to its modern-day heroes, offering them convenient access to vital services essential to their work as OFWs.
