The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer August 2018 Conferment Ceremony

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) conducted its 8th ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer Conferment Ceremony last August 24, 2018 at the Diamond Hotel, Roxas Boulevard, Manila.

The ASEAN Monitoring Committee on Engineering Services of the Philippines (AMCESP) represented by Chairman Teofilo S. Pilando, Jr. of the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), President Federico A. Monsada of the Philippine Technological Council (PTC), Chief Buenaventura D. Macatangay of the Program Development Division on behalf of Chairman Prospero E. De Vera III of the Commission on Higher Education (CHED) conferred the title “ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE)” to 62 Filipino Engineers. The title officially enables the conferees to register as Foreign Professional Engineer in any ASEAN host country to work in collaboration with counterpart ACPE within a common area of competency.

Chairman Teofilo S. Pilando, Jr. was joined by Commissioner Yolanda D. Reyes and Commissioner Jose Y. Cueto, Jr. who respectively, gave their inspirational messages to the conferees and closed the ceremony.
