Alagang OWWA Wellness & Membership Caravan Launches in Hong Kong, PRC Participates Through its 1st Day of Foreign Mobile Service

HONG KONG – 08 November 2025 – The Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) successfully launched the "Alagang OWWA: Wellness & Membership Caravan" on November 08, 2025, in Hong Kong. The event brings together a consortium of government agencies to deliver essential frontline services directly to Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs).

The opening ceremony was graced by high-ranking officials, demonstrating a unified government commitment to the Filipino diaspora. Distinguished guests included: Consul General Romulo Victor M. Israel, Jr., Secretary Hans Leo J. Cacdac, Undersecretary Dominique Rubia-Tutay, Administrator Patricia Yvonne M. Caunan, and Members of the House of Representatives, along with other officials from Department of Migrant Workers (DMW), Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA), and Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), underscoring the government’s strong support for Overseas Filipinos.

The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) is a key participant in the caravan, realizing its mission to provide accessible services to Filipino professionals worldwide. Through its Foreign Mobile Service (FMS), the PRC enables OFWs to renew licenses and update their credentials without leaving Hong Kong, supporting their career advancement abroad in the most convenient and cost-effective way.

The government's "serbisyong malapit" (service brought closer) commitment was further emphasized by Vice Consul Allan Revote, who visited the PRC FMS on its first day to observe the delivery of these crucial services to the Filipino community!
