ACPE One-Stop Shop and PRC Mobile Service Successfully Conducted at PSME
QUEZON CITY, PHILIPPINES - The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC / Commission), through the International Affairs Office – Qualification Recognition Division (IAO-QRD) and the PRC National Capital Region (PRC-NCR) Office, successfully conducted an ASEAN Chartered Professional Engineer (ACPE) Orientation and One-Stop shop and PRC Mobile Service on 6 December 2025 at the Philippine Society of Mechanical Engineers, Inc. (PSME) Headquarters in Quezon City.
This activity was initiated by the PSME, led by its 2025 National President Engr. Archelle B. Baculi, and attended by the officers and members of the PSME Chapters all over the Philippines. The PRC catered more than one hundred and thirty (130) transactions including Initial Evaluation of Application for Registration as ACPE, Issuance of Certificate of CPD Compliance, and Renewal of PRC Professional Identification Card (PIC) / License.
Director Melisa Jane Comafay Yeachana of IAO rendered a presentation on the overview and updates of the implementation of ASEAN Mutual Recognition Arrangement (MRA) on Engineering Services in the Philippines, and the PRC’s initiatives to collaborate with international bodies. While, Ms. Ma. Elenette L. Lapinig, Senior PRO, IAO-QRD guided the applicants on the qualifications, documentary requirements and procedures on online Application for Registration as ACPE (https://online.prc.gov.ph/). Mr. Ronald Denoso also presented the guidelines to create an account and apply for self-directed learning using the PRC Continuing Professional Development Accreditation System (CPDAS) (https://cpdas.prc.gov.ph/).
Hon. Rodulfo L. Tablante, Chairman, PRB of Mechanical Engineering (PRB-MEE), rendered words of encouragement to Filipino Mechanical Engineers to challenge themselves in applying for international recognitions such as under the ASEAN MRA on Engineering Services. He emphasized the importance of the assessment mechanisms established under the MRA to qualify for higher professional level and opportunity to collaborate with foreign counterparts.
The activity highlighted the continued commitment of the PRC to facilitate the mobility of Filipino professionals and upgrading of their professional qualifications through regional and international recognition.
