The iGovPhil Project officially adopts the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0) as the accessibility standard for all its related web development and services. WCAG 2.0 is also an international standard, ISO 40500. This certifies it as a stable and referenceable technical standard.

WCAG 2.0 contains 12 guidelines organized under 4 principles: Perceivable, Operable, Understandable, and Robust (POUR for short). There are testable success criteria for each guideline. Compliance to these criteria is measured in three levels: A, AA, or AAA. All iGovPhil Project services and content are currently moving towards WCAG Level A compliance. Work is being done to make the system fully compliant with this level.

9,156 New Professional Teachers from Region IV

LUCENA CITY, QUEZON. - Nine Thousand One Hundred Fifty-Six (9,156) new passers of the October 2022 Licensure Examination for Professional Teachers (LEPT) took their oath before the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) to confirm their inclusion in the rolls of Licensed Professional Teachers (LPT) last February 25, 2023 at the Quezon Convention Center, Lucena City, Quezon.

Hon. Rosita L. Navarro, Chairman of the Professional Regulatory Board (PRB) for Professional Teachers, administered the oathtaking. “Professional teachers are sufficiently compensated not just on the material things but the commendations they receive to the community for being the second parents of these children who instill to them sufficient knowledge and Filipino values”, Chairperson Navarro said as she acknowledges the important role of professional teachers in the holistic development of a child.

The event was witnessed by Hon. Paz I. Lucido, Vice Chairperson of the PRB for Professional Teachers, and Hon. Paraluman R. Giron, Member of the PRB for Professional Teachers. Dir. Reynaldo V. Cristobal, Regional Director of PRC Region IV-A, Dir. Reynaldo D. Agcaoili, Regional Director of PRC Region IV-B, and Officials of the Philippine Association for Teachers and Educators (PAFTE) also attended the said event.

This is the 37th joint face-to-face mass oathtaking ceremonies of passers from Regions IV-A and IV-B. Some of the topnotchers from the said regions and the top performing Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) were also recognized during the program.

Again, the PRC Regions IV-A and IV-B expressed their warm congratulations to the new Licensed Professional Teachers!
